Learn to create a Stylish menu for your blog.

Let’s start with creating a new document, with 400px by 200px with a # 7d7d7d background color.

Now, using a Rounded Rectangle Tool, draw a shape with any color you want.

Apply to it the following settings:



That is what we must get:

Now, select our shape by Ctrl+Click on the layer icon in the layer palette (F7):

Draw this gradient (from white to transparency) as it is shown below:



With the following font and settings, write down for example “about me” and place it in the center of our button:


Duplicate our button, and this time name the second one for example “pictures”:

Now, somehow, we must show that one of our button is active.
Let’s pick a Custom Shape Tool, select a 10 Point Star, and draw it as a shape:


And apply to this star the following settings:



That is what we mus get:

To make it better, let’s select it by Ctrl+Click on the layer icon in the layer palette (F7), create a new layer, and drag the same gradient (from white to transparency) as we applied on the button.


The star is going to indicate which button is active. Create as much buttons, as you need.
